Job description:
As a joiner, the candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing wooden
structures and fixtures in residential and commercial buildings. This role requires skilled
craftsmanship and attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.
Entry requirements of this job:
Candidates typically require GCSEs grades. Relevant experience in carpentry or joinery is
preferred, along with any vocational training or apprenticeships.
Tasks required by this job include to:
Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
Measuring and cutting wood and other materials to required dimensions.
Constructing and installing frameworks, doors, windows, and cabinetry.
Joining and fastening materials using a variety of tools and techniques.
Repairing or replacing damaged wooden structures and fixtures.
Ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and building codes.
Collaborating with other tradespeople on construction projects.
Maintaining tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
