Job description:
As a plasterer, the candidate will be responsible for applying layers of plaster to interior and
exterior surfaces to create a smooth finish. The plasterer ensures walls and ceilings are prepared
for painting or decoration by delivering high-quality craftsmanship.
Entry requirements of this job:
Candidates typically require GCSEs grades. Relevant experience in plastering is preferred, along
with vocational qualifications or apprenticeships in the trade.
Tasks required by this job include to:
Preparing surfaces by cleaning, smoothing, and bonding agents.
Mixing plaster materials to the correct consistency.
Applying coats of plaster to walls and ceilings using trowels and other tools.
Ensuring a smooth, even finish and correcting any imperfections.
Creating decorative textures and finishes as required by clients.
Repairing and restoring damaged plaster surfaces.
Collaborating with other tradespeople during construction or renovation projects.
Adhering to safety regulations and ensuring the proper maintenance of tools and
equipment.
